Gaza, Palestine – Palestinian media sources reported that six people were killed and ten others wounded in an Israeli airstrike targeting an area near the passport office in Gaza City. This comes amid the ongoing military escalation in the Gaza Strip.

Deaths and injuries reported near a government building

The sources reported that the bombing occurred in a densely populated area near the passport building,

resulting in a number of casualties, including one dead and one wounded.

At the same time, a state of panic prevailed among the civilians who were present at the site at the time of the targeting.

Initial reports indicated that medical teams rushed to the bombing site.

The injured were transferred to Gaza City hospitals to receive treatment.

On the other hand, some injuries were described as serious.

Targeting civilian areas in central Gaza

The sources added that the bombing was part of a series of strikes targeting various areas within the city.

This comes amidst an ongoing military escalation in Gaza that is impacting residential neighborhoods and public facilities.

No official information has yet been released regarding the nature of the military target of the bombing.

Meanwhile, search and rescue operations continue in the vicinity of the targeted site.

Deteriorating humanitarian conditions in the sector

This development comes in light of the deteriorating humanitarian conditions inside the Gaza Strip,

with the continuation of military operations and the increasing number of civilian casualties.

In addition, there is significant pressure on hospitals and health infrastructure.

Local and international bodies call for the need to protect civilians and avoid targeting populated areas.

At the same time, fears are increasing about the expansion of the scope of escalation during the coming period.
